EIT ICT Labs is holding a pan European "Ideas Challenge" over the next year in order to discover and reward the best business ideas in eight areas.
For each of the eight areas, the prizes include:
- 1st Prize: €40k
- 2nd Prize: €25k
- 3rd Prize: €15k
In addition, winners will receive:
- Coaching and mentoring from experts of the EIT ICT Labs Business Development Accelerator
- Integration into future EIT ICT Labs Action Line Activities
- Integration into pan-European partner network of the EIT ICT Labs
- Office space for 6 months in one of our Co-Location Centres
Submissions will open on September 1st for business ideas in the area of:
- Cyber Security and Privacy
- Internet of Things
- Urban Life and Mobility
- Smart Energy Systems
If you are selected, you will be invited to pitch your idea at an event held in the European city hosting that business area (funds are available for attending these events).

About the Ideas Challenge
The Ideas Challenge is a business competition that focuses on the eight most important trends in ICT. Applicants submit a description of their idea to our online platform, including info about the team, the idea, the technology and the market being addressed.
The best 10 participants in each category will be invited to personally convince an expert jury in a 5 min pitch. All finalist teams will receive €500 after the pitch event to cover the travel costs. The twenty four winning teams will get a unique prize package to boost their business: A matchless partner network, coaching and mentoring, office space in Europe's startup hotspots and up to €40k of financial support.
